There comes a tapping, a knocking, a pounding at my door.
“Is there anybody in there to answer my call?”
I hear a tapping, a knocking, a pounding at my door.
“Is there anybody in there, anybody at all?
Is there anybody in there to answer my plea?
Anybody at all, Listening to me?”
“Is there anybody in there within that empty cell?
Are you capable to answer? If you are, are you well?”
“Please answer if you hear me, for I pound upon this door.
Are you there? Do you hear me? Or are you there no more?
The tapping, knocking, pounding, Echoes through the empty halls.
No one there to answer, No one to hear their calls.
“Is there anybody in there?” pleading, desperate for a reply.
But silence my only friend, as the echoes slowly die.
“Are you capable to answer?” a voice both firm and clear.
The emptiness surrounds me, leaving only fear.
“Please answer if you hear me” begging with all their might.
But the tapping, knocking, pounding, are the only sounds in sight.
There is nobody in here, Nobody to hear the call.
left with only silence, to echo through these empty walls.
I’ll sit here in the darkness. I’ll wait here all alone.
For the tapping, knocking, pounding, to stop, leave me on my own.
There comes a tapping, a knocking, a pounding at my door.
“Is there anybody in there to answer my call?”
I hear a tapping, a knocking, a pounding at my door.
There is nobody in here. Nobody at all.
