Surface Christian

The spirit of truth against religious peoples collides,
The essence of God’s power lies inside.
Dishonest lips, to our Holy God, is a hollow caress.
Compromise is a dangerous foe,
It undermines and brings our faith low.

Religious rites devoid of fidelity,
Render ceremonies empty, you see.
The truth of judgment looms on the horizon,
For Christ alone is our faith’s foundation,
The substance, the glory, our eternal salvation.

Unsaved sinners love social religion, praises resound,
Within the church, an abundance of surface Christians are found.
False promises of worship, corrupt hearts confess,
To our Holy God, skin-deep Christian prayers are hollow cries,
Insulting His presence, full of pride, a veil of lies.

Truthful confessions, From the meek, pure praises arise,
From the broken and contrite hearts, a fragrant surprise.
Jesus destroys deceit, exposing each false Christian
Embrace Truth like a joyful song, lifting it high to the Lord,
The redeemed, worship with love, their praises, a sweet accord.

Jesus is inseparable from the truth’s embrace,
Our Lord rescues sinners and showers abundant grace.
Let’s differentiate stumbling from embracing sin,
The God of my salvation, I will call upon,
Walking in His Spirit, my strength to dawn.

In the path of righteousness, Jesus leads the way,
For His name’s sake, I’ll celebrate each day.
Everyone falters, stumbles along the road,
With each step taken, God’s Grace! I’ll proclaim,
For His Word became flesh, forever the same.

Those who claim God’s name without humble belief,
face the consequences of their deceptive relief.
The Holy Spirit shuns them, they are hollow inside.
Yet those who daily seek God’s redemption,
Regenerated souls, reconciled to His Word’s inception.

Only in His love and transformation, find worth,
For His Word is our guide, in this find daily rebirth.
embracing sin as good repels the spirit of God
Let us walk in truth, with hearts sincere,
Rejecting compromise, holding God near.
