It’s sad how we struggle to address things as adults,
Misunderstandings hurt, and conflicts erupt.
It’s sad, indeed, how we struggle to communicate,
We find it hard to convey without cutting off,
Raising our voices, disrespecting, and acting tough.
But God calls us to support, mentor, and guide,
To seek understanding, to bridge the divide.
To address our concerns without escalating debate.
We risk losing family, friends, and precious relationships,
All because of poor communication skills and verbal slips.
Everything gets labeled as tripping, checking, or nagging,
Arguments arise, and back-and-forth tagging.
God calls us to mentor, guide and inspire,
God calls on us to confront with love and respect,
To address what’s not in His will, with care and intellect.
We long to fix things, to make everything all good,
Hoping for reconciliation, the way it should.
To nurture relationships, to quench the fire.
Yet for some reason, everyone wants to play tough,
Forgetting that God is all about tough love, it’s enough.
So let’s heed His call, embrace empathy and understanding,
Seek unity, peace, and bonds that are never-ending.
God urges us to confront with love and grace,
In every interaction, let love be our guide,
To heal, to grow, and walk alongside.
God’s love is the ultimate example we can follow,
To mend brokenness, and a better future to hallow.
To address what’s amiss, with a compassionate embrace.
Let’s break the cycle of misunderstanding and strife,
And embody God’s tough love, transforming our life.
