Leaving the Nest

I find my voice, let go of the sorrow, I speak today,

A child’s heart, burdened but ready to say,

With a heavy heart and soul, I’ll move towards tomorrow.

as I release my pain, Don’t hold onto my sorrow,

Don’t blame yourself for things out of your control,

I’ll find my own path, slowly mend and console,

The good memories we shared, they’ll hold a place,

moments, remembering pains smoothed by God’s grace

In this journey of healing, I’ll tend wounds on my own,

I’ll forge my own path, navigate the unknown,

Life’s complexities, tangled lessons they teach,

Seeking comfort, Now within my reach.

For as I release my pain, I bid you farewell,

With hopes that in time, all wounds will heal,

I carry within me the strength to move on,

With resilience as my armor, I’ll face the dawn.

don’t cast tears for the path I now tread,

all that’s needed are the tears that I shed,

it’s time for me to mend what’s been torn,

find my own, in God’s strength, I am reborn.

I’ll cherish the memories once held dear,

The love shared, the laughter sincere,

now, it’s time for me to chart my own course,

To mend the broken pieces and regain my force.

So, please don’t cry for me, let my tears be enough,

I’ll find my way eventually, amidst challenges tough,

With courage as my compass and love as my guide,

I’ll navigate this path, finding solace deep inside.

So don’t cry for me, I implore,

My journey awaits, like an open door,

With newfound freedom, I’ll soar above,

With lessons learned, guided by God’s love.

Our paths may diverge, our stories now apart,

But the time we had forever holds a place in my heart,

As I bid farewell, know that I carry you in every stride,

with time, wounds will heal, and in God’s Grace I’ll thrive.
