I won’t assume 2021

We’re all in suffering, under the same sky,

A larger picture unfolds, as time passes by,

I won’t assume you’re part of the strife,

For in your pain, you navigate life.

Fear and hurt, they make their stand,

In the hearts of those who’ve felt life’s hand,

And when the injured mind does ache,

Anger may rise, a stormy wake.

In suffering, we stand as one,

A larger picture, as the days are spun,

I won’t assume you carry the blame,

In your fear and pain, we’re much the same.

Hurt and anger may lead the way,

When minds are injured, night and day,

But I won’t assume you’re part of the strife,

In our shared anguish, we navigate life,

Hate spreads like wildfire, fueled by assumptions,

In this world of pain, shared consumptions.

I offer hope in this endless quest,

For truth will come, and pain shall rest.

Till then, with a pained heart, I’ll tread,

In a world where lies are spread,

No judgment cast, no blame to find,

In this complex world, our souls are entwined.

We all share this world, under the same sun,

where battles are lost and battles are won,

I won’t assume you bear the guilt,

For in your pain, your soul is built.

Fear and suffering, they make their mark,

In the injured mind, they leave a spark,

And in anger’s grip, we may be caught,

we must not assume is the lesson taught.

In the end, the truth will find its way,

Till then, we navigate, night and day,

With an open heart, we’ll find the grace,

To mend the wounds, and find our place.
