Conquering Death

Death is a thief stealing what we hold dear
Jesus is our redeemer.
Death leaves us with only grief and an overwhelming fear
God is our strength and joy.
Death is a shadow that looms over us all
God is our light.
Death leaves us feeling hollow as we watch our loved ones fall
Jesus is our comfort.
Death is a reminder Of how fragile life can be
God is our creator.
And how quickly it can hinder All we thought we’d see
God is our eternity.
But even in the midst of death, there’s a glimmer of hope
Jesus is our hope.
One day we’ll draw our last breath, and our souls will cope.
Jesus is our savior.
