The politicians with their manipulative lies,
Are the ones who have forced this compromise
In class war, we engage in battles, with lives at stake.
They stoked the flames of hate and scorn,
To keep the divide, votes for a conflict are born.
The ones who give generously, now burdened souls,
The struggles are unseen, inflicting heavy tolls,
Some folks pay and there are those that take,
Though the free stuff flows to those in need,
The givers are bled out because of political greed.
The recipients, take with longing eyes,
They desire more as their wants arise,
They label those who pay with blame,
Not seeing the burden they impose,
Asking for more, while empathy erodes.
The lines are drawn, the chasm deep,
In this twisted game of power, politicians reap.
Amidst “Mean, prejudiced, and racist” claims,
Through this divide, the politicians’ power grew,
More takers now than givers, it is true,
Great nations past have met their fate,
Within two centuries, crushed by the weight,
The balance lost, the scales unsteady,
Democracy’s flaw, the voters’ plight,
A self-inflicted, deadly bite.
For two centuries, the States stood strong,
But now, the reckoning, before too long,
The future nears collapse, Are you ready?
Change the course, mend the breach,
Or witness our great nation’s defeat.
The call is now, to heal the heart,
To bridge the gap, a brand-new start,
United, strong, we shall remain,
With empathy and unity, we’ll thrive,
In the spirit of togetherness, we’ll survive.
To rise above political lies and be free again.
