You and I

Y is there an IOU in YOU and I?
Answer me this and do not deny,
Between you and I, a mystery hides,
A curious pair that coincides,

Within “YOU” and “I,” a secret lies,
An IOU of love, no compromise.
In every smile, a debt incurred,
Two hearts entwined, their love assured,

A bond unspoken, yet understood,
A connection made, and called good.
In “Y,” the question softly breathes,
Why this IOU that love bequeaths?

An ancient tale, as old as time,
A play on words, a puzzle in rhyme.
Within the “I,” a universe unfurls,
A world of dreams and passions swirled,

Two souls converging, side by side,
Their destinies, forever tied.
And in the “YOU,” a promise made,
A sacred vow that won’t evade,

An IOU of feelings vast,
Through present, future, and past.
For in “YOU” and “I,” we find a clue,
The IOU of love, in debt and forever due.
