Saying goodbye to a pet

In the twilight’s gentle glow,

A feline friend we came to know.

Silence speaks when words cannot,

With velvet paws and eyes so bright,

You filled our days with pure delight.

Oh, whiskered friend, so full of grace,

You left your mark in this short embrace.

emotions rise and then forgot.

now the time has come to part,

tears well up within each heart.

We shared a bond, however brief,

A love that brought us sweet relief.

The laughter and the joy we shared,

Through playful pounces, soft purrs too,

Our hearts found solace, thanks to you.

Yet life’s cruel hand has dealt its blow,

And fate has come to claim its toll.

remain in our hearts, forever paired.

Though our journey together was fleet,

Your memory forever we’ll keep.

With solemn steps, we say goodbye,

With heavy hearts and misty eyes.

though our time together through,

in our souls, you’ll always stay,

A cherished presence, come what may.

farewell, dear friend, on this sad day,

We’ll treasure the joy you brought our way.

our souls will always carry you.

though you’re gone, your spirit’s near,

In every whisper, we’ll still hear.
