Happy Unbirthday

I waited to wish you a happy birthday.
What a sad day,
marking the passing of time.
I love the time I have known you.
Why would I want to count it down?

I waited, but I could not chime in,
To wish you a happy day,
sadness befell as others felt joy.
I would not mark the time,
The ticking clock, a bitter chime.

But hear my words true,
You’re not bound by mere numbers,
Eternity shines.
In the moments we’ve shared, my friend,
Time bends, and love’s bond won’t ever end.

So, a happy unbirthday,
I offer with joy and glee,
Each day is a treasure.
For with you, every moment,
Is special, a gift, so brilliant.

You are not older,
you are eternal.
I wish you a happy unbirthday
because every day with you is special.
Happy unbirthday.
