Pride Month

In the month of June, the secular decree,

Pride Month, but what does it mean?

From a biblical stance, a different view,

A celebration of sin may sadly ensue.

Yet speaking of sin, they’ll call it hate,

Accusing, unloving, sealing our fate.

Christians, churches, and leaders alike,

Join the celebration, diversity in sight.

But is it unloving to call out the wrong?

To question the sin, to stand firm and strong?

When Adam disobeyed, sin entered our land,

God judged with death, a divine reprimand.

Physical and spiritual death became our plight,

Separation from God, the perfect light.

But in judgment, God provided a way,

A Savior promised, to guide us and stay.

“For God so loved the world,” the Scripture said,

He gave His only Son, our souls to be fed.

But Sodom and Gomorrah, wickedness abound,

God’s judgment poured, salvation to be found.

Lot, the righteous man, received God’s grace,

While the cities crumbled, vanished without a trace.

In Jericho, Rahab found her redemption,

Faith in the true God, a divine exemption.

God, our Creator, sets the rules,

Determines right and wrong, like wise sages and fools.

Marriage, one man and one woman, His design,

Sex outside its bounds, His Word does define.

Lust between men and women of the same,

God calls it sin, the Bible proclaims.

The works of the flesh, Galatians reveal,

Impurity, immorality, passions concealed.

Romans 1 speaks of the same in its verse,

Unnatural relations, God’s law they disperse.

To deal with “Pride Month,” as Christians we should,

Warn of sin, repentance, and turn to what’s good.

A merciful God, who judges with care,

Provides salvation, a love we must share.

For those who trust Christ, temptation we’ll face,

But God provides escape, His guiding embrace.

Confess with your mouth, believe in your heart,

Jesus is Lord, a new life to impart.

No temptation too great, for God, is near,

Escape He provides, His promise hold dear.

This is not hate, but love’s pure embrace,

Mercy and forgiveness, God’s saving grace.

Warn of sin, teach God’s mercy and love,

His forgiveness, offered from heaven above.

Let us celebrate repentance with grace,

Overcoming temptation, God’s love embrace.

In the midst of Pride Month, let us stand,

With truth and compassion, extending our hand.
