Cityscape Rainbow

In the cityscape rainbow, where no sky is seen,

An array of colours, subdued yet serene.

Gold, in the lamp posts’ flickering light,

Illuminating paths, guiding the night,

under a flame that dances and sparks,

Luminous yet cold, lighting up the dark,

dancing shadows to a neon flickering glow,

in streets, otherwise grim, an inviting show.

White, as gentle as a snowflake’s fall,

Softens the concrete jungle, covering it all.

Cold hard and quiet as a whisper,

unfeeling stone, concrete, a frigid vista.

Like a blanket of death, whispering its grace,

covering grey rock and structures in an embrace.

Black, a void, like shadows in the alley,

A reminder of depths, where fears rally.

In this void of emptiness and despair,

A darkness so deep, it’s hard to compare,

to the threat that lurks, light can not repair,

What skulks in the alleys, a mysterious snare.

Brown, the earth’s touch, holding us firm,

Muck between cracks, decay’s strength affirm.

the earthy tone of grimes muddiness,

A reminder of dirt and filth’s ruddiness.

the vulgar timbre of infertile ground,

Reminds us of the grave always around.

Grey, the misty veil, rain’s gentle caress,

Blanketing the city, a moment of quietness.

the towering walls bring a crushing twist.,

A calm yet stifling hue, not to be missed.

Pink, a touch of visual, softness in kind,

Bringing consolation to ease the mind.

A burst of colour, graffiti on the wall,

Expressions of art, a city’s vibrant call.

colours of rebellion and passions delight,

An angry hue that brings status at night.

In this urban rainbow, a unique display

A vibrant spectrum that won’t fade away.

No sky above, yet a strange beauty resides,

In the city’s colours, a different spectrum abides.

In this cityscape rainbow, colours intertwine,

Crafting a culture, in its visual design.

No sky may be seen, but hues abound,

Breathing life into concrete, all around.

In a cityscape rainbow, where no sky is seen,

A complexity of cultures, colours paints the city scene.
