In the depths of the woods, my grandchild and I walked,
an opportunity to impart wisdom, as we talked.
Amidst the trees and nature’s embrace,
A painted rock appeared, adorned with grace.
Its vibrant colors whispered a word so dear,
“Pray” it said, adorned with care,
I placed it in my grandchild’s tiny hand,
A token of faith, a lesson so grand.
For the day will come when God’s judgment shall be,
But today is the day for salvation, you see.
Not just a crutch for emotions to lean,
God’s presence transcends what our eyes have seen.
He’s not a mere icon in the sky,
Justifying our self-righteousness with a sigh.
I share with my grandchildren stories profound,
Of a God who’s real, His glory knows no bound.
For there will come a day, my dear,
When God will judge, and truths be clear.
But today, it’s the day of salvation,
To seek redemption, find restoration.
So, be born again, embrace a new start,
As a follower of Jesus, with a devoted heart.
In a personal relationship, find solace and peace,
In the one living God, all worries release.
