In the depths, we roam,
Seeking love in a transient home.
Let our hearts be drawn to higher things,
To the Lord where true joy sings.
Materialism’s allure, a fool’s charade,
A hollow quest, where riches fade.
Yet God’s perfect will, a glorious treasure,
A love divine, a boundless measure.
In earthly pleasures, we can delight,
Love for family, hearts shining bright.
But let our first love be to our Lord,
In His embrace, our souls restored.
For spiritual pursuits without His praise,
Reveal the fallen nature’s wicked ways.
To reject redemption, love’s sweet call,
Is to cling to sin, and let darkness fall.
But fear not, for God has shown His grace,
Through Jesus, His Son, a divine embrace.
A gift of forgiveness, holiness He brings,
The Holy Spirit within, our hearts’ true wings.
Salvation’s beacon, Jesus saves the soul,
His love, a healing balm to make us whole.
Believe in Jesus, embrace His light,
In His loving arms, all made right.
