News Poetry: Chinese lab

Amidst shadows, secrets lie,
A tale of darkness, ‘neath the sky,
In California’s hidden maze,
A bio lab with a lethal blaze.

Bioengineered mice concealed,
COVID’s wrath, they held, revealed,
Prestige Biotech shrouded in guise,
Dealing death, a grim surprise.

City Manager, in disbelief,
Unaware of this vile thief,
Held within the dead of night,
A treacherous plot, a wicked plight.

Chemicals and fluids kept,
deceit, it slowly crept,
CDC warned of agents, dread,
Infectious peril swiftly spread.

HIV, COVID, chlamydia too,
Rubella, malaria, a fearsome brew,
Biological warfare, a grave concern,
is this terrorism, as bridges burn?

Universal Meditech’s tainted past,
A puppet held by China’s grasp,
Addresses are hidden, far from sight,
Cloaked in darkness, fleeing light.

Biological terror, a nation in fear,

confront, and make the intent clear?
Their secret police stations roam,
On U.S. soil, a dangerous home.

A plot exposed, a lab’s deceit,
Infectious diseases, they did treat,
The lab’s leak is COVID’s scar,
Should have warned us from afar.

Incompetence or sinister scheme,
We cannot let our nation dream,
Wake up, America, heed the call,
Before we stumble, and the curtains fall.

Leprosy surges, a rising tide,
West Nile, malaria, none to hide,
The signs are clear, we must unite,
To face the darkness, seek the light.

Let truth prevail, let justice rise,
No more deceit, no more lies,
Protect our land, our people, free,
Embrace the truth, with unity.
