In travels from the northern, to the southern shore,
Through bustling cities and landscapes galore,
I find in my travels, in majority hearts kind,
In the vast expanse of the human mind.
In this journey, I’ve walked, in stories I’ve heard,
A truth emerges that is contrary to the media’s word,
Not racist, nor homophobe, in America’s core,
Common people reject extremes, yearning for more,
Headlines might scream, but we all hold to the light,
Guided by love, against the propaganda, hatred’s might.
In America’s lands, despite government, our roots run deep,
In communities striving or thriving, the bonds we keep,
Neighbors embrace each other, and hold families near,
Our unity’s a testament, division is a lie. We must make it clear.
We seek survival through life’s fierce storms,
Through trials and struggles, in various forms,
In this quest for truth, the media with lies entwines,
We hope for peace, while they look for crimes.
God, guide us through the policies of deceit,
Break the mirrors that falsehoods repeat,
Let unity blossom, divisions subside,
For in love and compassion, we will abide.
The enemy within, its division’s face,
Threatening our bonds, erasing grace,
Let’s heed the call, unite as one,
For together, stronger, we’ll overcome.
In travels from snow caps to warm ocean sands,
Let’s clasp our hands, and understand,
That in love and acceptance, we can thrive,
And keep the flames of hope alive.
