Hegel’s Dance by Salie Davis.
Hegel’s dance, with dialectic steps, thesis, an idea boldly brought to light,
Antithesis, opposing views in the fight. Synthesis, the art of changing minds,
What better way to destroy opposition? Disparate thoughts are mocked and eyes are made blind.
A crafty political scheme to shape perception’s flow, by those in power, motives grow.

To wield this tool, a subtle game is played, Thesis, the proposition, clearly made,
A conflict brewed, in shadows it’s laid. Antithesis, opposing wills cascade.
But what’s the purpose, one might inquire, To engineer consent, stoke the fire.
The opposition craves freedom from governmental control, that’s their stance.
While those in power seek to create a crisis, a need for surveillance,
In the name of safety, in Maslow’s hierarchy, basic needs are pressed,
Suddenly, the masses clamor, the synthesis accepted, and none protest.

A political ploy, a tactic well-concealed, In the theater of ideas, truths are revealed.
Hegel’s dialectic, a tool they employ, to shape the narrative, to control and freedom destroy.
In this grand chessboard, ideas in play, Hegelian moves, in the shadows they sway.
But let us not be blind to this intricate design, For in understanding dialectic, a truth we find.

Ideas take flight, a tool of insight, Thesis, and antithesis, in conflict a proposition, a thesis a synthesis,
The opposition wants freedom from surveillance. Create a problem that requires surveillance
A concept, a notion. opposition arises, a clash of ideas, and suddenly everyone wants surveillance.
a purpose, to craft a solution, a political tactic, Beware
their true aims are often concealed,
Create a problem, stir the opposition’s fire, cause suffering and pain, then offer surveillance,
In the face of danger, we surrender all, a political tactic, death, and disaster, a strategy so sly,

Hegelian dialectic, a force to beware, in its dance of thesis and antithesis, profound,
The political powers want surveillance. The synthesis binds like chains, tying us to the ground.
shaping our perceptions, under the watchful sky. In the world of ideas, be ever aware,
They create a conflict in order to institute a predetermined solution. Beware, Be ever aware. By Salie Davis For more visit WoPoLi.com
