Oh, I am sorry, did you think I’d boast,
Thou hast mistaken my intent, it seems,
Of being someone important, utmost?
I am a humble soul, with no lofty dreams.
I’m just a nobody, that’s plain to see,
But that’s just fine, it sets my spirit free.
Oh, I am sorry, if thou thought me vain,
I may not be a star in the grand show,
For in my modesty, I find my gain.
In my smallness, there’s a truth, you know.
I’m not important, and that’s quite okay,
For I’ll dance through life in my quirky way!
Oh, I am sorry, did you deem me grand,
I know my worth, or lack thereof, ’tis true,
Yet in this knowing, I find nothing new.
So I, in quiet solitude stand.
in my meekness, I embrace my fate.
A nobody, indeed, in modesty, I am great!
