Beyond Time

by Salie Davis

In days of old, when shadows marked the hours,
We pondered time and its mystical powers.
We’d whisper, “Time will mend, like an old friend”
Time’s changing ways, we often did extol,
Yet deep within, it healed the wounded soul.

Time flowed in an unmarked space.
Before we had the sundial’s grace,
As wounds heal around each bend.
We’d say, “Time changes all, it’s true,”
As moments slipped by, old and new.

Before the clocks with gears and spring chimes,
Time dwelled within the chambers of our minds.
Before our screens displayed the hour,
Times tender touch, a balm for every scar,
In solitude, it healed, as memories drifted afar.

We’d marvel at how its beat remained,
In the sun or storm, it never waned.
Time’s rhythm held a timeless power.
But deeper still, beyond the clock,
It’s God who mends the heart in shock.

His Spirit whispers through the night,
Guiding us with His loving light.
For those who seek His boundless grace,
In trials and tribulations, we stand,
Held by the strength of His guiding hand.

The wise, they praise God’s endless love,
As steady as time ticks in the stars above.
Find solace in His warm embrace.
In Him, they find refuge through time, sure,
Faith in Him, beyond time, forever pure.

So let us cherish each fleeting day,
In God’s embrace, we’ll find our way.
So remember this, my friend, without a doubt,
After the sundial, After the clock’s chime,
In His love, we’ll continue beyond time.

In Jesus’ name, our hope resides,
In Him, love’s current beyond time ever glides.
God’s love within, it’s what life’s all about.
With faith, we’ll rise, our hearts ablaze,
For in His love, we’ll find timeless praise.
