Your pain is real, but don’t let it consume you and steal

the love you will feel, the love that can heal.

Don’t let the darkness make you kneel in defeat,

I know it’s hard when nothing feels right

when even the day can turn into night,

Don’t let the darkness make you kneel in defeat,

Trust that the sun will rise, the darkness will take flight,

and with time, the pain will slowly lose its might.

Don’t give up on love, for it exists,

It’s there in the warmth of a hug or a kiss.

Love is there in the kindness of strangers and friends,

In the beauty of nature that never ends.

Please don’t surrender to the despair,

Believe that someone, somewhere, will care.

Hold on to hope, even if it’s just a thread,

and know that you are not alone, but loved instead.
