Child of Mine

Dear child of mine, do not be afraid.

I am here to guide and aid.

As one who cares, a teacher, a friend too,

I want to understand what you are going through.

I will never forget your spirit, your face,

in my home, you will always have a place.

You ever reside in a space in my heart,

and I will be there at the finish, from the start.

If you need me, remember, I am here.

Just let me know, and never fear.

I will listen I will hear and I will try,

to help you soar, so that you reach the sky.

So trust me, dear child, and in me believe,

my love, unconditional, you will always receive,

as a friend, a teacher, someone who cares,

who will be with you, through all life’s affairs.
