To anybody who will listen.

For anybody who will care.

My eyes with tears they glisten.

My feelings I wish to share.

I want so hard to understand.

I’m trying to sort things out.

I once thought life so very grand

but now I am in doubt.

I have dug my way into the ground,

suffered in bitter strife,

but fools gold is all I’ve found

in search for the treasures of life.

It’s okay to feel lost and confused,

to question what life’s all about.

Sometimes we search for what we’ve refused

and realize what truly counts.

Life’s not always about gold and treasure,

or what we can buy or gain.

It’s about love, joy, and simple pleasures,

and the memories we make and retain.

So don’t give up on life just yet,

there’s still much left to explore.

Find the things that bring happiness,

and hold onto them forevermore.

Know that you’re never truly alone,

there are people who care and will listen.

Share your thoughts and feelings, make them known,

and the weight of the world will begin to lessen.
