Watching loved ones in their fragile state,
A journey filled with anguish, deep and wide,
It’s a heavy burden, a daunting weight.
As we stand by their bedside, emotions we can’t hide.
It doesn’t get easier, that’s the truth we face,
We wish it were different, we long for a way,
Through the pain, we pray for grace,
To chase the shadows of illness away.
A heavy love, like a boulder on the heart,
The tears want to flow, but we hold them back,
We can’t bear to see them falling apart.
In silence, we sit, our spirits under attack.
Love – a choice we make, a path we tread,
We hold their hand, offer comfort and care,
In the darkest hours, where hope seems dead,
In our hearts, the love is always there.
As the days pass by, and the moments unfold,
Through the pain and sorrow, we find our way,
We cherish the memories, both new and old,
To honor the love that will never sway.
In the stillness of the room, we find our peace,
For love, a force that’s unwavering and true,
Though the heaviness in our hearts won’t cease,
Love is a choice. Love we offer, it’s all we can do.
