News Poetry: Dear Politicians

Dear Politicians, the wounds you caused run deep,

The Media still dances with the falsehoods you embrace,

Your governing aftermath is a continual contentious scene,

You created a nation fractured. Now trust is hard to keep.

Spreading lies by manipulating truth, leaving truth to efface.

Truth called conspiracy, the hidden truth, democracy unclean.

The American soul, through schemes, a heart divided,

burning bridges with false calls for unity’s embrace,

Now in the quest for unity, no bridges left to mend,

Recalling grievances, the trenches you dug are deeply sided.

Echoing the past, Politicians hiding lies in a divisive space.

Radicals, may your rule, may your lies find their end.
