Judgment looms for our children

by Salie Davis age 42

As judgment looms for our children in days come,
may God’s grace be present through His Son.
Jesus saves, is the message in each bible line,
that we, nightly read, to teach of a love divine.

I sow the seed, though I may not behold,
Its growth and fruition, as stories unfold.
Surrounded by weeds, this world may seem,
may they turn from godlessness, choose to redeem.

Let God’s regeneration transform their soul,
In His truth and love, let them be made whole.
I plant and water the seed with great care,
May others join in, its roots strong and fair.

Dear Lord, send laborers to nurture and tend,
That the seed may grow, with deep roots to extend.
Bearing fruits of love, compassion, and grace,
A testament to Your glory, in every place.
