Incapable: age 14

by Sally Ann Houston

You say you care for me. I know you care for me,

but I do not feel that you care.

You say you love me. I know that you love me,

but I am unsure of your love.

I can say that I trust you because I know that I trust you

but I can not trust you with my heart.

I have many needs I wish you could fulfill

but it was unrealistic to ask you.

I know now what I did not know before and I apologize.

I can not depend on you.

not because you are undependable

but because you are incapable.

I am very sorry for this and again apologize

for what I have done that has hurt you.

I do love you though you may not think so I do.
