The new year’s calling with blue eyes crying.
Gold tears are falling for an old love that’s dying.
No celebration, no overnight solution.
No anticipating a New Year’s resolution.
You said your door’s open I only had to knock,
but when I came to you I found it locked.
If only I could turn back the clock.
Back to a time we used to talk.
We’ve come too far to turn back now.
The road is long but we can make it somehow.
We can beat these odds I know there’s a way.
Tomorrow can be better than yesterday.
The new year’s calling with blue eyes crying.
Gold tears are falling for an old love that’s dying.
No celebration, no overnight solution.
No anticipating a New Year’s resolution.
I can’t take it, it’s gone on too long.
I know we can make it. If our love is strong.
It’s not too late all I need is your time,
an open heart and an open mind.
We’ve come to far to turn back now.
The road is long but we can make it somehow.
We can beat these odds I know there’s a way.
Tomorrow can be better than yesterday.
New years resolution: age 25
