Pen and Cob

Upon a tranquil lake, serene,
‘Neath hills and meadows,
in the dawn swans take flight.
Majestic, love, purity, and union,
Pen and Cob, night and day
In a realm of water and light,

Pen, radiant white, graceful
Crystal waters, her domain
Cob, strong and grand,
Feathers pristine, shimmering night,
Predictability, mystery, balance.
Ever loyal as love demands

The poets of the lake,
True to being, hearts on fire.
Beautiful is the white bird’s grace,
Contrasting hues, a harmonious blend,
Pen and Cob, in a dance entwined.
the symbol of love’s embrace.

Black swan, rare on ebony wing,
Guardian of the unpredictable night.
Loyal for life, their union divine,
Cob, with eyes like the midnight sky,
Gentle beings, cherished cygnets,
In the dance of love, family entwine.

A colorful array of innocence, purity,
Each with hues mirroring life’s rich display.
Predictable, the white swan’s course,
Cob, a guardian of the unpredictable,
Unique protection, a love so true.
A creature of habit, a love’s sweet force.

Instincts to love and protect, robust in might,
Diverse expressions, each heart untamed.
In the dance of life, a timeless rhyme,
The lake is not always a haven so still,
Grieving swans against looming dangers unite.
Inspiring generations, echo through time.

Richness in diversity, strength in adversity
Rare and elusive, unknown is fate,
Even the gentlest creatures, in love’s embrace,
cries echo across tranquil turned turbulent waves,
Yet in their sorrow, the strength they find,
transform into formidable defenders, a fierce grace.

Grief, a note in the swan’s song, A melody of sorrow
Turned trumpeting joy, contrasting, a testament clear,
Sunset’s golden glow, from dusk to dusk, a radiant pride,
Defenders of love, a testament to hearts so kind.
The dance of life, a timeless rhyme,
Cob and Pen, still, and ever side by side.
