Spiritual Leadership

In the sacred act of forgiveness and sin,
as a transparent soul, we battle within.
God’s grace is entwined with our shadows deep,
On this journey of faith our doubts we keep.

A mess of divinity both tangled and mangled,
In the heart’s neglect, our emotions feel strangled.
Evil whispers to us lies, but faith embraces,
A complex truth of simple graces.

Some days are a fusion with a seamless blend.
Yet who am I and where does Jesus in me transcend?
Guidance in faith,, hope and love is power,
Mercy is keeping us together in this human hour.

Deserving of wrath a prayer is a humbled plea,
Yet with a thimble of faith and grace, the believers see.
In Scriptures, we find a refuge and doubts we defy,
in our quest to separate the truth from the lie.

To be a spiritual leader is a call that is profound,
In the home and fellowship with a purpose crowned.
Tiny steps in faith the leader takes as a needy sheep,
Stumbling, yearning for God to help us, we often weep.

We are ever longing to see with human eyes,
The Creator beyond our understanding in earthly skies.
Just to hear His voice whisper that he holds us near,
A wish that lingers in all we do with a hope that is sincere.

Prayers echo for the love of god to extend compassion’s tide,
that we with patience, energy, and devotion might others guide.
Yet with every prayer, we know we always have room to grow,
Our training as leaders is an endless journey with grace to bestow.

More than faith is requested of you Lord, a constant plea,
Yet sometimes you find us yearning to be burdens free.
This is a messy journey. As a leader, our hearts laid bare,
Our worthiness, our qualification questioned in the prayer.

Honesty’s sword given by you Lord, cuts through the doubt,
A transparency in our soul, grace that shines throughout.
Does our doubt disqualify or affirm the spiritual leader’s call?
In the truth that you alone lead Lord, as we help others to stand tall.
