When I am gone: age 15

I draw flowers for you to tell you I love you.

I draw them in hopes that they will never die

as my love for you will never die.

Even long after I am dead,

you will still have your flowers and my love.

I write poems for you to tell you I love you.

I write them in my own words

so that they will not quickly leave your memory,

as I pray my love will not quickly leave your memory.

Even long after I am dead,

you will still have these poems and my love.

I tell you every day that I love you.

I say it in my own voice, hoping you will hear

so that after I am dead,

you may remember my voice,

and I pray when you are sad or angry at my memory

you will remember also,

my flowers and my poems and my love.
