Half the Day is Gone.

A red car passes, plans undone,
Waiting for my daughter’s call,
Yet yielding to His will, I’ve won.
In God’s care, I surrender all.

The wind, blows, a relentless noise,
The hearty soup, now cold and bland,
I worry I may lose my poise,
Yet in faithful steps, I understand,

Amidst the barking of dogs, distractions near,
Worldly desires like the dog chain jingles loud,
The flesh desires comfort, pleasures, and cheer.
in serving others, I break free from this crowd.
.
Half the day is gone, time fleeting fast,
Coffee waits, a moment’s rest,
In God I know, peace will last.
In God’s timing, I am blessed.
