Privately and publicly in society, we navigate,
A teacher, a mother, a wife, an artist, a writer,
Spirituality, roles intertwining, my destiny I create.
Hoping to honor God in every stride,
In the pursuit of self, I refine each facet,
Embracing differences in this patchwork of humanity,
I step with purpose trying to ensure no steps too erratic.
when hearts coincide I try to reflect a hint of divinity.
Yet, the journey’s not simple, the road is not straight,
When trying not to offend, in every step I tread,
Hurdles emerge, challenges innate, I navigate.
a delicate balance, where some words are better left unsaid.
I haven’t showered in days, appointments deferred,
In the chaos, when schedules entwine, days pass by,
Life’s demands are elusive, a constant, unheard.
In the field of creativity, I find respite.
Self-employment is a double-edged sword,
Last week, a near miss, almost forgot to get dressed.
Duty is freedom and chaos in one accord.
Role models shouldn’t live in tees and P.J.’s.
Existing through canceled plans and forgotten deeds,
but to put on “civilized” clothes, it’s a rare sight to see,
In this melody of chaos, family life intercedes.
Yet in refining myself, I embrace each part,
Through God’s grace let the journey unfold, with its twists,
I’ll create a masterpiece of literary art,
and in the chaos, I’ll find the moments that persist.
