Friends or companions, be not deceived,
their influence on you should be perceived,
The company you keep, a profound tide,
Shaping your morals, stretching them wide.
The right crowd, a catalyst for the best,
Drawing out virtues, putting them to the test,
But in their absence, beware the worst,
Luring your spirit, where darkness may burst.
Let not your path merge with those astray,
Who doesn’t prioritize God, a truth to portray,
For though you dwell in this worldly domain,
Jesus commanded, be not of the same vein.
Lost souls, not to be ignored or dismissed,
But living like them can leave you amiss,
Destructive echoes may silently creep,
Imperiling virtues, threatening to seep.
A beacon of light, your purpose should be,
Influencing others for all to see,
Seek the Lord’s guidance, His strength, and grace,
To show them a life transformed, a sacred embrace.
So, choose your companions with the utmost care,
Let your presence be a blessing to share,
For in the complexity of lives intertwined,
May your influence, with God’s love, be defined.
