I was warm as your body lay against me,
A precious gift from God, I named you Trinity.
Your cry—the sweetest sound—divine,
Made every ache and pain resign.
Overwhelming happiness fills my soul,
You, my child, make my spirit whole.
Softness in your skin, a dream come true,
A complexion as pink as the sun-kissed hue
Eyes that demand attention from the world
Lips, more lovely than rose petals curled
Strawberry blond hair cascades like gold,
Every gurgle, coo, a treasure to hold.
A peaceful child, a small gift from above,
Sent to us in a bundle of unconditional love.
A Child Called Trinity
