A plight, a child’s struggle, a fight.
Permission to be, denied, a decree,
Yet in the heart, free with might,
To wield a forbidden right.
In words and paper, a battle ensued,
yet questioned for an identity skewed.
Forced to conform with the others,
A struggle in silence, the ink-stained plea,
But the truth lies deeper, in the unseen,
Mismatched truth in gestures keen.
In the shadows of the heart,
So let the pen write, let the hands dance,
The world lacks nuance, beautifully rare,
no disability, no ailment, no disease,
just minds unique where challenges, and
struggles speak of a label misplaced.
As society stares at this Autistic unheard,
a unique mind, misunderstood, often blurred,
The world can not perceive, the beauty in difference.
