A letter to my Younger Self

Hey you, listen up!

It’s natural to feel overwhelmed when facing a storm in our lives.

We can feel lost, helpless, and hopeless.

Take a deep breath.

It’s important to remember that storms eventually pass.

The sun will come out again, and with it, a new day and new opportunities.

Yeah I know I sound unrealistic.

But if you wait a little while longer, what do you have to lose.

What if I am right?

In the midst of the storm, it’s crucial to hold onto hope

and to look for the small moments of light that can guide us through the darkness.

These moments can be as fleeting as a flash of lightning,

but they can provide us with the strength and resilience to keep going.

Keep Going! Don’t be a fool.

You have come too far to give up now.

Remember that storms can also bring growth and change.

Yeah, it sucks.

Take a deep breath.

Let it out slowly.

Curl up in a ball in the corner and cry it out if you must.

While it may be difficult to see in the moment,

challenges and difficulties can help us develop new strengths,

learn important lessons, and deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

But don’t worry about that now.

It’s not important in this moment.

Just cry, scream, get angry!

Then take a breath.

Let it out slowly.

Splash cold water on your face.

Hold on, and know that you are not alone.

Storms may come, but they will eventually pass, and with them, a new day will dawn.
