Life, day by day,
A poignant reminder
in words we convey.
in each chance we find,
we strive to instill values,
the noblest of kind.
Not in the clothes we wear,
But in the gift of life,
so precious and rare.
in our human strife,
Grasping at fragments,
the remnants of life.
As we search for the light,
a whispered reminder
to relinquish the fight.
For only in this transient breath,
only this gift of life,
transcends all death.
The wisdom we share,
To the children we guide,
in the burdens we bear.
Leave the world behind,
in the depths of our hearts,
the turmoil we find.
In the quiet, we plea,
yet, in the silence,
our hearts disagree.
We plead and we pray,
grasping, releasing,
the ebb and the sway.
A tug of the soul,
As we grapple with loss,
trying to be whole.
in the depths of the night,
To live out the lessons,
to embrace the light.
we implore in our strife,
Guide us as we navigate
this tumultuous life.
in moments so small,
We learn the lesson,
surrendering all.
We face the storm’s rod,
The struggle within,
to live is to surrender to God.
A lesson given with a nod,
“Give it up and give it to God.”
