Be Aware
Be aware of your strength, your courage, and love,
Be aware of the beauty in the skies above,
You must learn to keep going, to keep trying,
To keep living and to keep on surviving.
Let your voice be heard,
even if it comes out slurred,
For your words have power, they can heal,
They can help someone else to feel.
And when you need a hand to hold,
Remember, you are not alone in the world,
For there are others who will always be there,
To help you through, to show they care.
The chaotic, inflammatory nature of news headlines and media coverage increased post 2020. media outlets have played a crucial role in framing public discourse, often sensationalizing issues like racial protests (e.g., the Black Lives Matter movement), political unrest, and public health crises. Media coverage often exacerbates tensions rather than providing clarity.
