Fight For History

Fight For History

Voices clash— voices loud.
A battle brews on history’s stage.
Passions flare, and hearts are proud.
Amidst the chaos is a shifting age.
We seek balance, amidst the rage!

“Stop tearing statues down!” we cry.
“Stop rewriting tales!” we proclaim.
“Stop banning books!” for truth we vie.
History is sacred existing without blame.
It is a complexity we all must claim.

Our past is flawed, a tangled thread,
with triumphs shadowed by darker hues,
From the present, past years long fled,
freedom’s quest is seen in diverse views.
A nation torn, life by life, distorted by the news.

In every tale, a myriad of perspectives dwell.
The path to healing lies in unity’s call.
Acceptance is the key, where truths fell-
through diverse filters and tales stand tall.
The beauty of our common ground, in history’s hall.

Yet division’s seeds are sown by foes,
promoting unrest, stirring dismay,
BLM’s cries and MAGA’s shows,
divide and conquer in a sinister play.
Deception is not truth, no matter what they say.

Let statues stand and books remain.
Let history’s lessons guide us through.
For rewriting the past is to bear the strain.
Learning from it helps us renew…
In our flaws and scars, growth shines through.

Together we rise, divided we fall.
Fight the narratives that seek to divide.
Build bridges, tear down every wall.
In understanding, let our strength abide.
A future where integrity and love are our guide.

Embrace the past with all its imperfections.
Use its lessons to shape a brighter day.
For in unity and acceptance, we find reflections,
that guide us forward in a meaningful way.
Stand united, learn, grow, but let history stay.
