On The Road

On The Road

The road ahead seemed long and wide,
A journey bound by need, not choice,
But as we traveled, side by side,
Our hearts still held a hopeful voice.

We traveled down the coast, a road well-known,
Halfway there, our journey was stalled,
Seeking answers, feeling alone,
with parts on the road, hope seemed small.

Midway there, our plans went wrong,
Other parts were damaged, the truck failed,
Stranded, weary, but not for long,
For even then, God’s love prevailed.

Stranded, we thought, “Why now, why here?”
We coasted safely, though afraid,
we saw an exit and realized God was near,
through kindness, helped though not saved.

A hotel stood within a short, weary stride,
Its doors open, and its rates were fair,
A kind manager offered a ride,
Kindness helps when life seems unfair

In the scorching heat,
A trucker with gifts in hand,
water and food, a kind feat
Kindness eases life’s demands.

We limped the truck to the hotel’s lot,
With hope renewed, we ordered parts,
And O’Reilly’s sent not just what we sought,
But a young man with a willing heart.

The road ahead still stretched ahead
Yet in each step, we felt His grace,
As we continue where we are lead
God’s grace shines through every trial we face.

In moments dark, in times of strain,
We saw His hand, we felt His care,
For even through the stress and pain,
We found His love was always there.

The road was long, the journey tough,
Yet side by side, we walked with grace,
For God’s love alone was enough,
To light our path and set our pace.

Though hardships came, as they often do,
Our faith in Him was not in vain,
For every obstacle we pushed through,
Became a blessing in His name.
