To keep us divided, oppressed, and stressed,
violent rallies make innocents cry,
Yet violence bears no fruit.
Truth is lost in the currents as time flies by.
An extremist ploy, plainly the politicians’ way,
The echoes of turmoil will dilute the truth.
Now the next ploy for our attention is in play…
Divide and conquer, their sinister game.
Distracting under any name is their rallying cry!
Keeping us entertained, in turmoil, in flame,
meanings shift as the next purpose passes by.
Deception won’t rewrite the truth or make it concise,
as new ploys emerge, as narratives twist.
Freedom is messy and imperfect, it’s true.
Fight the propaganda- the turmoil- unclench the fist!
Allow thoughts that challenge minds to conceive.
The battles fought, though painful,
division won’t bring change.
Open the dialog so we can learn, can grow anew,
Add to the truth don’t take away the scars we bear.
Division breeds ignorance- our future to derange.
Allow unity, the common ground to make us aware.
Fight the narrative that seeks to divide.
It won’t serve us well.
Add more to the narrative, tell each side.
For in unity lies our greatest might.
In freedom’s imperfection, truths can still dwell.
A beacon of hope, open dialog, a guiding light.
