When In Doubt

When In Doubt

Where did our plans go wrong?
The best-laid plans have failed.
Stranded, weary, but not for long,
For even then, God’s love prevailed.

Traveling on a road well-known,
yet falter and we stall,
Even together we feel alone
even with hope, hope seems small.

Why have we been helped yet not saved?
Why this, Why now, we asked in fear,
Though we are safe, we are afraid,
Yet still we realize God is near,

When every step is weary strides,
Our spirits are heavy when life’s unfair
Why God? Is it all, irrelevant, besides—
as in our prayer, we ask, what is fair?

When we feel as if we have been beat
hope slips through our weary hands,
Things once whole feel incomplete,
Yet a simple kindness eases life’s demands.

have we not been given our fair lot?
Can hope renew, if we do our part?
Then God sent not just what we sought,
But others in kind, with a willing heart.

The road ahead still stretched ahead
Yet in each step, we felt His grace,
As we continue where we are lead
God shines through every trial we face.

In times of tears, In times of strain,
We feel God here, we feel His care,
We cry with our hearts, in stress and pain,
Yet we are reminded–He is always there.

He never promised the journey wouldn’t be tough,
or that we would not suffer, though we walk in grace,
Even in answered prayers, the way is still rough.
Yet we find ourselves stronger when God sets our pace.
