On The Road
On The Road
The road ahead seemed long and wide,
A journey borne of need, not choice.
Yet as we traveled, side by side,
Our hearts still held a hopeful voice.
We followed the coast, a path well-known,
Halfway there, our hope grew small.
Seeking answers, feeling alone,
The journey stalled—did God hear our call?
Midway through, more troubles came,
The truck broke down, our plans went awry.
Stranded, weary, calling His name,
We looked to heaven with a sigh.
Stranded, we thought, “Why now, why here?”
But coasted safely, grace appeared.
An exit sign, we realized near,
God’s hand was steady, ever revered.
A hotel stood within our reach,
Its doors open, its shelter kind.
A manager’s smile, a gift of peace,
When life seemed harsh, we still could find.
In the sweltering heat, a trucker appeared,
With food and water, gifts in hand.
His kindness softened what we feared—
In small mercies, we understand.
We limped the truck to safety’s lot,
And ordered parts to make repair.
God sent not just the help we sought,
But a young man with skill to spare.
The road ahead still stretched afar,
Yet with each step, His grace was known.
Through every trial, every scar,
We walked in faith, never alone.
In moments dark, when hearts felt strain,
We saw His hand, we felt His care.
Through every struggle, loss, and pain,
His love remained, forever there.
The road was long, the journey rough,
Yet side by side, we found our way.
For God’s great love was more than enough
To light our path, day after day.
Though hardships come, as they often do,
We never walked His path in vain.
For every trial we journeyed through,
Became a blessing in His name.
