In the Waters
Love is the water of life, pure and clear,
A drink for the soul, a balm for the fear.
A moment of happiness, fleeting, yet true,
A stone in the river that time sweeps through.
But I see so deeply within myself,
I swear I throw it all away, for love’s wealth.
I died all through eternity’s call,
And yet, here I am, standing tall.
Draw it now from eternity’s jar,
Every day I bear a burden, yet I soar.
I am only the house of your beloved soul,
A sculptor, a molder, and still, not whole.
Because I cannot sleep, I close my eyes,
Behind the scenes, a new rule defies.
How long, how long will we remain apart?
I am part of the load, but you are the heart.
I closed my eyes to creation, unaware,
Now I have a fire for you in my soul, to share.
Be with those who help your being rise,
For love is the fire that never denies.
In the end, in the waters of love’s purity,
We find our freedom, beyond all insecurity.
For love is the water of life, after all,
The answer, the key, the eternal call.
