Heus, Ecce, Sciurus
Heus, ecce, sciurus per ramum volat,
cauda movens, velox, ubi sol lucet.
Per silvas currit et folia secat,
festiva et audax, natura delectat.
Glande in ore praecones autumni,
iam hiemis aditum sentit.
Sub umbra corticis cibum abscondit,
hibernum diligenter parat.
Heus, ecce, sciurus, figura vitae;
docet per laborem et ludum.
Laetitia saepe in minimis occultatur,
spectaculum naturae cor exhilarat.
Hey, Look, a Squirrel
Hey, look, a squirrel flies through the branch,
tail moving, swift, where the sun shines.
It runs through the woods and cuts the leaves,
festive and bold, delighting in nature.
With an acorn in its mouth,
it senses the approach of autumn,
already feeling winter’s arrival.
Under the bark’s shadow, it hides food,
diligently preparing for hibernation.
Hey, look, a squirrel, a figure of life;
it teaches through work and play.
Joy often hides in the smallest things,
a spectacle of nature that exhilarates the heart.
