The Devil will tempt you to stray,
Out into a world with no time to spare,
Out into a world that pulls you away,
With no time for God, no time for prayer.
And though the work may seem so fine,
If not into sin’s enticing snare,
He pulls you from the sacred Vine,
From the love of Christ, the gift of care.
By stealing hours, he makes hearts sway,
No time for family, no better for the wear,
No moments spent in God’s array,
With hurried heart, life feels unfair.
No time for rest, no time to seek,
As the Devil leads you to his lair,
No sacred moments, no voices meek—
Where does it lead? Be ever aware.
The Bible waits, its pages lie still,
No time for church, no time to share,
While busyness bends you to its will.
The Devil and you make a fine pair!
Each fleeting task, a trap well-laid,
The Devil thrives on hearts unaware.
Your hurried hands, your peace betrayed,
From busy life, tear-away, Tear!
Pause and reflect—where will this lead?
His schemes hidden in a clever snare.
Busyness from holiness will mislead,
Of the Devil, called success, beware!
Yet the Devil flees when hearts align,
In God, find peace and purpose, rare.
With His sacred design, true, divine,
Sit with God in stillness, if you dare.
Return to God, and seek his face,
Let him walk with you everywhere.
Find salvation, His guiding embrace.
Find God’s peace awaiting you there.
