Clothed in Christ

Don’t bow to the sway of the culture’s hand,
Be it within or beyond the church’s stand.
God’s kingdom rises, unseen yet near,
A realm of truth, where love is clear.
If you call yourself by Christ’s great name,
Let your heart and your deeds reflect the same.
On Sunday mornings, as you take your place,
Dress with honor, clothed in grace.
Not just in garments, but deeper still,
Clothe yourself in Jesus’ will.
Wrap in His truth, His love, His light,
A radiant witness, a beacon bright.
And if you visit where believers meet,
But love and truth you do not greet,
Don’t let that stumble your seeking heart;
We, flawed as we are, can miss the mark.
God’s kingdom calls—its gates are wide,
A haven where grace and mercy abide.
Try again, for His love will persist,
In the hearts of those who truly exist.
So let the church be a place of care,
Where Christ’s reflection lingers there.
Beyond the norms, beyond the trends,
His love and truth are what transcends.
