Love for You, Lord

Love for You, Lord

I’ve loved, I’ve lost, I’ve grasped, I’ve wept,
in aching grief, mislaid, my soul has slept.
But love for You, Lord must stand above,
as the ties of earth, the bonds of love.

Not lesser hearts, nor fleeting years,
nor drowning waves of human tears,
can shake the truth—You reign, You guide,
though sorrow’s flood may rise inside.

So though I break, though wounds remain,
I’ll trust You, Lord, through doubt and pain.
For even here, in night’s embrace,
Your mercy shines, Your love in place.
