If You’re Ready
If you are weary, worn, and weak,
And grace is all your heart can seek,
Then God is near, His arms outspread—
A refuge strong, a place to tread.
Yet, if you but long to catch your breath,
Then walk again the path of death,
You have not grasped the gift He gives,
For Christ redeems so all may live.
He does not mend the broken chain
To let it snap with sin again,
Nor fill dry cups to quench for now,
Then leave you free to break your vow.
No, He renews, restores, refines,
And fills with life that brightly shines.
The chains are gone, the past is dead—
If you are ready, come, be led.
Repent, believe, and turn today,
Be washed, be filled—be made this clay.
For Christ redeems, and He alone
Will make your heart His holy throne.
