Evensong of Reflection

Evensong of Reflection
In the shadow of events long past,
I weave with threads of time and space—
a world reborn in the words I cast—

a tale of beginnings we hold dear,
where love was born in Eden’s air,
and innocence danced, beyond despair.

On the wall, a portrait of a lady stands.
Her eyes reflect the Tuscan light.
A vision with tightly clasped hands—

while the evening song hums its tune,
whispers of dawn in skies of gray,
twilight falls to reveal the sly moon—

and when the stars begin their throng,
the world is hushed with a sacred song—
An ancient hymn, both bright and strong,
the echoing notes of soft Evensong.
